Recently Apple released the 3rd iOS 12 public beta for iPhone and iPad. The new version just released after Apple rolled out the fourth developer beta. The newer version includes a new feature that is MeMoji, an extended version of its Animoji feature. The latest version also includes cellular data for apps organized by usage, interface tweaks in Wallet and Photos.
The latest iOS 12 beta improves upon screen time, Siri Shortcuts and Group FaceTime. Users can also turn on the “Do Not Disturb” mode through Screen Time. Moreover, Siri Shortcuts will be able to create information alerts for users and store items like a boarding pass or a music playlist.
iOS 12 third public beta comes with many new features such as Apple Books which was known as iBooks, third-party map support for Apple CarPlay and screen time feature to monitor digital health.
To get the benefit of the new version, all you have to do is – restart your device, open the settings app and install the iOS update just like any normal software update. The final version of iOS 12 will be released at the end of September. Though Apple is going to release beta versions every few weeks over the summer.
But keep in mind that in this new beta iOS, there will be some bugs. It also means that your device and app may crash. Before updating the version, make sure that you take backup of your notes, messages, and photos either via iCloud or iTunes. Because there is always a risk of data being lost.
